And we bid you goodnight…

We’ve published Sensitive Skin on and off since 1991. But after long consideration, we’ve realized it’s time to close up shop. Many thanks to all who’ve contributed over the years, both their writing, art, music, essays and reviews; and their time and effort. It’s been a good run, and we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished — what you’ve accomplished. It’s time to let someone else take over. The site will remain up and functional, for years, that’s the plan. And maybe we’ll even post something new from time to time, but we’ve turned off Submittable applications and are in general not accepting new work.

Good luck, and thanks for all the fish!

It’s truly sad to hear this news, but what an incredible run it’s been since 1991! “Sensitive Skin” has clearly left a lasting impact, and it’s wonderful that the site will remain up as an archive of all that amazing work. Thank you and all the contributors for sharing such diverse and inspiring content over the years. It will definitely be missed, but the legacy lives on. I’ve often turned to sites like this for inspiration, much like I might consult a reliable Gold Calculator for precise information.

  4. This was an interesting look at how digital tools are changing creative work. The most useful tools are usually the ones that reduce friction without replacing the person’s ideas. That is also why creative video workflow is becoming more relevant for small teams and creators.

  5. What an incredible run — 35 years of publishing is a monumental achievement. Sensitive Skin has been a vital space for avant-garde writing and art, and its influence on the indie lit scene is immeasurable. Thank you to B. Kold and everyone who made it happen. 6. I liked how this article connects technology with practical workflow questions. Image tools are most useful when they help people test ideas, compare visual directions, and communicate concepts more clearly.

  7. This was an interesting look at how digital tools are changing creative work. The most useful tools usually reduce friction while keeping the person’s idea at the center. Hello3D fits that direction by helping creators turn concepts into 3D visuals more easily.

  8. The discussion around B. Kold made me think about how creative production is becoming more flexible. OmniGemini can help teams move from a rough concept to something visual faster, while still keeping the original idea at the center.

  9. Anomalous Coffee Machine features different floors, each with its own unusual circumstances and specific problems. Players will need to use their strong insight and strategic thinking skills to solve puzzles and negotiate tricky circumstances in the spooky kitchen, from putting objects in the precise order to tracing aural and visual hints to uncover an escape path. Every stage requires patience, focus, and a capacity to respond to an ever-shifting setting, resulting in a nerve-wracking but engrossing experience.

  10. Love tester is a fun game that offers an accessible, entertaining experience for all ages right at home. The game fosters laughter and a friendly atmosphere, making it perfect for playing with friends and family.

  11. Thank you for decades of wonderful literary and arts curation. I’ve been following SSM for years and the archive is a treasure. I also use this 3DTRELLIS app for organizing my own creative projects — a nice complement to the inspiration I always find here. Wishing everyone well in the next chapter.

  12. The online game Golf Orbit offers a fun and accessible form of entertainment for all ages, allowing players to enjoy enjoyable golf games from the comfort of their own homes. It’s a cost-effective way to relax, especially for golf enthusiasts who can’t afford traditional courses or other expensive hobbies.

  13. It’s always sad to see a long-running publication like Sensitive Skin close, but what an incredible legacy they’ve built since 1991. The emphasis on how digital tools can streamline creative workflows without replacing human input resonates strongly, much like how a tool such as image to stl can simplify the process of turning ideas into tangible 3D models. It’s inspiring to see how creative platforms evolve and the lasting impact they can have.

  14. It’s a shame to see “Sensitive Skin” closing after such a long and impactful run, but the decision to keep the archive accessible is a great one. The idea of creative tools that reduce friction without replacing the artist’s vision is particularly relevant today, and it makes me think about how AI can aid in concept visualization, similar to how photo to anime can transform images.

  15. The decision to keep “Sensitive Skin” accessible as an archive after closing submissions is a thoughtful one, preserving a significant cultural record since 1991. It highlights how important it is to maintain access to creative work, much like how I’ve found tools like png to stl useful for making digital art tangible. The longevity of the publication speaks volumes to its impact.
